Wu Jie, Party Secretary and General Manager of CSI Group, leads a delegation to West and Central Africa
West & Central Africa – CSI Group has further strengthened its international presence as Wu Jie, Party Secretary and General Manager, led a senior delegation on a research and cooperation mission across West and Central Africa. The visit aimed to conduct project inspections, meet with key clients, and extend care to CSI Power’s overseas service teams. He was joined by Lou Hua, Deputy General Manager of CSI Group and General Manager of Ningbo C.S.I. Power Co., Ltd., and Wang Lei, General Manager of Ningbo C.S.I. Trading Co., Ltd.
In West Africa, Wu Jie attended a forum with local Zhejiang entrepreneurs, Chinese business leaders, and community representatives. The delegation also visited multiple factories and engaged in high-level talks with the Chairman of the region’s largest Chinese consortium. Reflecting on more than 30 years of close partnership, Wu expressed his gratitude for the trust and support from the overseas Chinese community. Both sides reached a consensus on deepening strategic cooperation, consolidating traditional markets, and expanding into emerging sectors, culminating in the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement.
In Central Africa, the delegation visited major Chinese-owned mining enterprises -including state-owned, listed, and private companies – to understand operational challenges, assess local power supply needs, and inspect CSI Power’s overseas power plants. Despite harsh conditions such as high altitude, sandstorms, and demanding schedules, CSI Power’s overseas teams have consistently delivered projects ahead of schedule. Many power plants were successfully commissioned earlier than planned, setting new records for installation speed abroad.
CSI Power’s heavy oil generator sets have demonstrated long-term stability, reliability, and efficiency, earning wide recognition from local clients. The professional, rapid, and dedicated services of CSI Power’s overseas teams have also been highly praised. Over the years, CSI Group has transformed from a single equipment supplier into a comprehensive power plant contractor and localised producer, firmly advancing its “going global” strategy.
Today, CSI Group provides energy technology solutions in more than 30 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, and Russia. Several of its projects have been highlighted as exemplary cases of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, reinforcing the Group’s influence in overseas markets.
To date, CSI Group has built over 1,000 heavy oil and natural gas power plants overseas, with more than 100 engineers stationed abroad long-term, making significant contributions to securing reliable power supplies for local enterprises worldwide.
