On the afternoon of April 28th, to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement and inspire young people to cultivate a deep love for the country, the Youth League Committee of CSI Group held a themed Youth Day event. The event was hosted by League Secretary Zhou Jialun and attended by Party Committee member and General Manager of the CSI Trading Company, Dr.Wang Lei, who delivered a speech.
Themed “Inheriting the May Fourth Spirit and Showcasing Youthful Vitality,” the event aimed to deepen understanding of the May Fourth Spirit through the viewing of patriotic short films and engaging in fun team competitions. All members watched selected segments from the patriotic short film National Album, which combined historical footage with reenactments to portray the century-long journey of Chinese youth under the leadership of the CPC in their revolutionary struggles.
The event also included fun competitions such as Pictionary, mystery box guessing, and indoor archery, allowing young participants to better appreciate the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Six teams took part in the contest: the Research Institute Team, Precision Machinery Team, Engine Assembly Team, Office Team, CSI Trading Team, and the ULVAC Team (Ningbo). In the end, the Engine Assembly Team outperformed the others with a steady performance and won first prize. The Precision Machinery Team and Office Team won second place, while the Research Institute Team, ULVAC Team (Ningbo), and CSI Trading Team shared third place.
This themed Youth Day event was not only a spiritual baptism and a lesson in historical education but also a vibrant youth mobilization rally. The participants expressed that, as young people in the new era, they are committed to carrying forward the great May Fourth Spirit, taking up the baton from their predecessors, fulfilling their responsibilities in their respective roles, and transforming their patriotism into motivation for action – allowing their youth to bloom brilliantly in the fiery practice of advancing Chinese modernization.
