The association, serving as a bridge between the government and enterprises, is responsible for communicating with authorities, serving member companies, and promoting the development of the shipbuilding industry. In the next five years, the association will focus on three areas:
First, strengthening industry exchange – by deepening upstream and downstream collaboration to drive Ningbo’s shipbuilding industry toward high-end, green, and intelligent development.
Second, serving enterprise needs – by building a collaborative platform through resource sharing, event organisation, and service delivery to provide practical support to member companies.
Third, proactive policy recommendations – by focusing on industry challenges and voicing enterprise concerns to government bodies, advocating for targeted policy support.
Mr. Yang Shibing and Mr. Zhao Jiaren, Directors of the Automotive and Advanced Equipment Division of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, attended the meeting. In his speech, Mr. Yang analysed the current economic performance of Ningbo’s shipbuilding industry, affirmed its positive growth momentum, and offered guidance on stabilisation, efficiency improvement, and the green and low-carbon transition. He expressed the hope that the association would continue to enhance its comprehensive capabilities and provide better services to its member enterprises, contributing more to the high-quality development of the city’s shipbuilding industry.
