Recently, the exit review meeting for three postdoctoral researchers, namely Dr. Guan Wei, Dr. Li Weiqi, and Dr. Chen Zhanming, was held in the conference room of the Power & Mechanical and Electrical Research Institute of CSI Group. Professor Wu Feng and Professor Yao Dongwei from Zhejiang University, Professor Chen Hao from Chang’an University, Professor Chen Xiaoping from Ningbo University of Technology, as well as relevant leaders from the municipal and district-level Human Resources and Social Security Bureaus, attended the meeting. Wu Jie, the corporate supervisor, Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Manager of CSI Group, was also present and delivered a concluding speech.
The review meeting was chaired by Dr. He Haibin, Dirctor of CSI Research Institute. The three postdoctoral researchers gave presentations on their research projects. Focusing on the company’s high-power diesel engines, Dr. Guan Wei systematically studied the in-cylinder flow field and combustion process of ammonia-diesel dual-fuel engines, clarified the influence mechanism of key parameters, and explored the improvement effect of hydrogen blending on combustion emissions under high ammonia ratios. This research provides support for the development of clean and efficient ammonia-diesel engines.
Centring on emission control of ammonia-fueled engines, Dr. Li Weiqi established a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) model, studied the NOₓ conversion characteristics and the influence laws of parameters, and conducted multi-objective optimisation research. He further proposed an optimised matching strategy, laying a foundation for the development of after-treatment systems.
Dr. Chen Zhanming focused on the combustion system of dual-direct-injection engines. He studied the spray combustion characteristics of various fuel combinations, optimised the influence of key injection parameters, and constructed a numerical simulation model, which provides engineering guidance for the development of dual-direct-injection engines.
After carefully reviewing the reports of the three postdoctoral researchers, the expert group unanimously agreed that all three researchers had completed their research projects as planned. The research content was in-depth, met the expected objectives, and satisfied the exit requirements. Therefore, the expert group approved Dr. Guan Wei, Dr. Li Weiqi, and Dr. Chen Zhanming to pass the exit review.
